Nusa Dua Hotels

January 7th, 2010 · No Comments

Nusa Dua is a Bali resort targeting the more rich holiday makers and therefore the types of Nusa Dua Hotels are varied in this exclusive area and are more up market and expensive so you won’t find much within the budget kind of place to stay.  Even though the prices are way higher you should expect the same value that is common all around Bali and compared to other resorts around the world, Bali is superb when it comes to services and quality for your money.

When looking for some Bali Accommodation in Nusa Dua you’ll be starting off in the mid range of rates and then going up to the five star accommodations that is anticipated from an elite tourist resort.  The mid range of accommodation will provide you with everything that’s wanted to be cosy and some extras.  All rooms would be air conditioned, have twenty-four hour room service and in house comforts like restaurants, bars and some shops that will sell basic haves and visitor keepsakes.

At the most southern end of Bali where it tapers off into a headland, this is where you may find Nusa Dua.  The white sandy beaches stretch all along the coast and getting there is a simple 15 minutes drive from Bali International Airport.  Nusa Dua competes with some other areas in Bali for being the most distinguished vacation resort in Bali.  The exquisite international hotels make it a preferred destination for the more higher class holiday maker.  This area has been very well developed and provides you with modern roads, and gorgeous gardens that are very well maintained.  There isn’t any thoroughfare through Nusa Dua and as a result it is a very quiet place to go to without the stupendously crowded beaches that you’re going to find in the more budget orientated resorts and spots.

Activities include many water sports that you can choose to partake in, most of these are organized by the hotel you are living in and keep the volume of visitors down by making them a personalized service.  The diving in Nusa Dua is superb as the lagoon is protected and there are no giant waves.  The water is a lot warmer here and therefore the sea life is abundant and definitely worth taking a look at.  Diving lessons are available, or you can just do some snorkeling and get the same awesome experience if you are a bit wary about scuba diving.  You can inquire at the hotel you are staying in about the Bali Tours available that will give you a personal service.

If the tide is low there are two little islands that you can walk to or hire a boat.  These are not populated and you can be lucky enough to have an island all to oneself for a day.  Just watch out if you are walking there that you don’t get marooned by the incoming tide, the hotel will be in a position to advise you on the tides.

For the more leisure conscious tourist, there is plenty of shopping areas to browse through; Nusa Dua is known for its beautiful shops and shopping facilities.  Bali shopping areas are definitely worth visiting as you will find some increadible bargains. The nightlife here is also much different from the more common resorts and has a tendency to have more class and sophistication with amazing eateries, bars and clubs.

Being that this is one of the hottest and up market resorts in Bali, it is very important that you book your hotel or visa in advance.  Going to Bali with the objective of staying here and finding the hotels are totally booked will be very disappointing to say the least.  Nusa Dua hotels mostly all offer air conditioning, but just ask to be sure, there is not much worse than the humidity at night if you are not accustomed to it.

If taking a short break to explore the island it is advisable to bear a few things in mind.  The more rural areas are not as accommodating when it comes to loos, you may stumble upon some real horrors.  Always carry a toilet paper with you as few rural toilets will supply any or hand soap, so take some of that with you also.

There are thousands of temples that are dotted all over the island and a trip to Bali without a visit to at least one would not be a complete trip to Bali.  You would be missing a view into the culture and design of a wonderful culture.  Firstly you’ll be needed to wear a sarong when entering the temples and though they do offer them for rent at each temple ; it is much easier to take your own so avoiding having to queue up particularly if there is a huge tour group.
