Who would say no to discounted airfare to get them from point A to Point B or to make their wildest dream come true? The concept is acceptable by all travelers and discounts are things that many travelers embrace with open arms, but what if they come with strings attached?

Supplying discounted airfare was so much in demand that many airlines came up with different schemes. Some of these schemes did not provide any upfront advantage for the traveler, at all. Evenutally, airlines went in to partnerships with online travel agents who always won the race and sold more tickets than an airline did.

Airlines offered frequent traveler schemes. While some travelers loved the game, others hated it because only frequent travelers were actually rewarded in this scheme. The logic is that the more you travel the more you become eligible for discounted airfare deals.

These schemes look promising on the outlook but can be a problem in the long run if something goes wrong. On the other hand, we have discounted airfare deals offered online but these are almost always non-refundable. Even if they were, the traveler loses a sack of money in the process. So if you were to book a flight for December and if you were to make the booking in June in order to become eligible for a discounted airfare, you may not be fully aware of what can unfold in your life by December.

With this seemingly inhumane offers on discounted airfare deals, many people built trust on online travel agencies. These agencies almost always carry an understanding with airlines that provide special discounts upon booking a certain number of seats. (The number of seats in this case can be as high as half of the flight!) being rather nice and humane in their approach, online airfare agencies provide discounted airfare rates if you were to book four or more seats in any given flight.

But be cautious as to what you are being offered! sometimes online agencies can provide services below your level of expectation in light of providing discounted airfare.  So unless you have a good rapport with your online ticketing agent, always make sure you check each and every detail pertaining to your discounted airfae rates. If the service provider is known to you and trust worthy, then there should be little to worry about! So always follow your heart and recommendations from others!
