There are going to be some obstacles placed in our ways when we prepare to go on our holidays, and it’s not the environment. Is putting prices up really going to save the environment, or is it just going to get people all riled up, clearly Brown knows he can’t win any popularity contests now.

Mr Brown knows that his end is near and he will inevitably axed, and will have to return to a dark hole, so he wants to leave us all with some presents. So he just wants to make sure that we have to pay through the nose for a few extra little things before he departs. He wants to up the Air taxes we pay and call them “green taxes”. I would rather call them Brown taxes, for several reasons (I will let you use your imagination). So this is going to cost us, the average person an inordinate amount of money, in fact for four people to go to Florida, will cost an extra £180, so that’s an extra £42.50 each. That too me, is a lot of money.

Now, there will be some of you that say, its not all that much - £42.50…. Well then listen to this; the law doesn’t stop there, in fact it will be an incremental duty tax. Things will get more expensive each and every year. So next November it will be an extra £240 (£60pp) and then the following year would take it up to £340 (£85pp). So does that just mean America, or long haul flights? This doesn’t mean just long haul flights, although there won’t be quite so much of an increase, all flights will be charged extra. American holidays should in that case go down hill, as the price goes up, the amount of visitors should technically be going down?

What’s the use in arguing these things though? Will we ever be able to get our own way? St Lucia holidays, Barbados holidays and weddings abroad, wave good bye to them all, it’s going to be a boring next few years.
